We had lunch with you yesterday, having been recommended by my partner who owns a salon, Harrington, in Reading. The standard of the food was very good, the service impeccable and the value for money excellent. We

We came for a delightful dinner last Friday with my cousin Shaw Edwards and you kindly gave a recommendation of wine to accompany the cheesecake. As I mentioned, my son, Olly Smith (www.ollysmith.com) is a wine expert and has been hosting the "Food in the Park"  event in London during the last four days and I know he
would be fascinated to try the wine.  I wonder if you could suggest a source, where I would be able to purchase it. Or, maybe you would be willing to let me buy one from your restaurant stock.

I just want to thank you very much indeed for our superb meal last night celebrating our friend's birthday in your special room. The dinner was absolutely delicious and you are undoubtedly worthy of a Michelin star before long. We all loved it and your very nice staff looked after us extremely well -a truly excellent meal. Thank you also for the champagne which was very kind and much appreciated. We will, indeed, sing your praises from the rooftops to all our friends! - somehow you need to get the PR machine going more with all the money around Henley and area as we didn't   know of your restaurant until we met you at the Henley Food Festival - however, this usually moves fast with reputation I think.  

...and no mention of previous phone calls as you suggested.

I would like to compliment you on your restaurant. Firstly the staff are excellent giving knowledgeable advice and super service. Secondly, the food and wine we have had on two visits was superb. Thirdly, Quality and flavour earns its price… we have had (elsewhere) rubbish food and service for £30 per head. You set the standard as the best in Reading… be patient!
Fourthly, the secure parking service is just a brilliant plus.
Fifth. You should adopt the real French cheese-board principle!

My daughter and I tried out your restaurant yesterday lunch time and I would like to say it was great!
The food was absolutely superb, both in quality and presentation. The waiting staff were very attentive without
"being in your face".
The meal was finished with a wonderfully frothy cappuccino and a most fantastically
presented slate of petits fours.

The whole experience was one of great food and a very ambient atmosphere.

I am PA to the Chairman of a small group of four restaurants and have told them all about my experience
and they are eager to try you out themselves!

Dear Xavier, I am writing to say how much I enjoyed my dinner last night and how impressed I was with Forbury's.

You are to be congratulated on establishing a restaurant of real class in Reading and where discriminating people can enjoy serious gastronomy/wine in a very elegant, stylish and sophisticated ambience.

I believe, that Forbury's arrival marks a significant turning-point in the most recent history and social life of reading, in both elevating Reading as a town-cum-city and expanding people's horizons: Forbury's Restaurant is a direct challenge to the mediocrity and pedestrian quality on the majority of the restaurants/hotels in Reading and the predominance of bars - which is a good thing for hopefully more refinement and class in Reading will signal the end of the yob culture!

In conclusion, I look forward to seeing you again and wish Forbury's Restaurant every continued success.
